Green Roots prides itself on having a natural and holistic approach to childcare which sits at the heart of the organisation, making us stand out amongst all others in the area. This is the second consecutive year we have won this award, which is run by Day Nurseries, the online directory of nurseries across Britain.
Commenting on winning the Day Nurseries award, Founder and Director, Gemma Lawson said:
“We are over the moon the be recognised as the top nursery in the Chichester District and amongst the top 20 in the whole of South East of England. What’s most important to us is that nurseries are nominated by families and parents who see us on a daily basis and see how happy their children are and how we look after everyone.
“This has obviously been a very challenging year for us all and to win this award for the second-year running has really lifted everyone’s spirits. We have adapted to the current climate but in a way that minimises any change or disruption for our children and our safety measures are stringent and are working well for everyone.”
Having been a childminder for 11 years, Gemma Lawson established Green Roots nursery and pre-school in 2013 due to the desire and need for a more considered child care offering in the area. Gemma has grown the nursery from initially looking after 13 children to now caring for over 150 children aged between four months and five years and currently employs 25 members of staff!
