We’re always delighted to welcome prospective families to Green Roots. Tours are available by appointment on our working days and are normally arranged for 10:00am. During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to meet members of the team, explore our indoor and outdoor spaces and get a feel for everyday life at the nursery.
Babies and younger toddlers are supported in a calm, nurturing environment where they can explore safely, build secure relationships and develop confidence at their own pace. Activities are shaped around individual interests, routines and stages of development.

As children become more independent and curious, Adventurers offers a wide range of opportunities for imaginative play, physical development, creativity, communication and early learning. Experiences are planned around each child’s interests and development.

Our Pre-School supports children as they prepare for the next stage of their learning. From September, children due to start school the following September begin our School Readiness programme, helping them build confidence, independence and the skills they need for a positive transition to school.

Our spaces are designed around the needs of children at each stage of their development, with welcoming rooms, age-appropriate resources and regular access to outdoor play. Each area supports exploration, creativity, communication, independence and confidence, with spaces adapted around children’s interests and individual needs.

Outdoor play is an important part of everyday life at Green Roots. Children have regular opportunities to explore, move, investigate and enjoy fresh air across our garden and outdoor play areas.
During the warmer months, our gardener works with the children to maintain planting areas and grow herbs, fruit and vegetables such as strawberries and lettuce.
