We have designed the Explorer’s Area to be full of stimulating and tactical activities that heighten curiosity and encourage development. The Explorers play in a carpeted, cosy area with access to a calm and comforting outdoor garden.

As toddlers begin to show their unique personalities, we ensure they have as much variety, stimulation and support that they need to grow in independence. Toddlers are immersed in purposeful play and activities to develop life skills, have sensory experiences, and manage their feelings and behaviour.

At Green Roots, we prepare the Pre-School children so that they are confident and ready to begin school in September. The Pre-School children expand their knowledge of the world, develop social skills, and become more independent with learning, while enhancing their cognitive and behavioural skills.

Our varied sessions throughout the day are designed to meet the needs of the child and their parents, but also to minimise the impact of children coming and going. We do not enforce a minimum number of sessions per week, however we recommend your child attends Green Roots at least twice a week to ensure their visits become part of their regular routine. In our experience, children who only attend once a week can sometimes find it difficult to settle in. However, we will be guided by parents as you know your children best!
We are open all year, except the working days between Christmas and New Years, as well as Bank Holidays.
Our fees are inclusive of all food and drinks (including formula milk), nappies, barrier creams, wipes and sun cream. We often run additional activities, such as Spanish Singing or day trips, which are also included in the fees.

All of the Green Roots team receive a thorough induction upon appointment in order to fully understand their role and the Green Roots ethos. All members of staff have been carefully selected, vetted and security checked to ensure your child receives the best care.
